Hello Bluesight Community,

🚀 Here in the online community, you can help make Bluesight better by sharing your ideas for product improvements! 

📚 We’ve compiled frequently asked questions and recommendations on the Idea Board and how to submit your ideas most effectively.

1. What is an Idea Board?

An Idea Board is a category for product ideation, where you can share your ideas on Bluesight’s functionality with the community and the Bluesight team and discuss and upvote the ideas of other members. 

2. Tips & tricks to write a perfect idea 💯

✨A clear title that accurately summarizes your request.

One idea per post - if you have multiple ideas, submit them separately so we can be clear about the status.

✨Your idea should be new - before you post an idea, please search to see if it exists. If a similar idea has already been published, upvote it and leave your comment there instead of creating a duplicate.

✨Explain your idea fully and clearly, and add as many details as possible. Make sure to answer the following questions in the description:

  • What is your use case? 
  • What problem are you trying to solve? 
  • Is it a critical feature that blocks you from working in Bluesight and being productive, or is it a nice-to-have feature?
  • What is a possible solution for you?

3. How do I post a new idea or upvote?

To post a new idea:

  • Open the Idea Board
  • Click Submit an idea. 
  • Clearly explain your idea.
  • Follow the tips & tricks to write a perfect idea in #2
  • Add tags (keywords of your request)
  • Click Save, when you are ready to publish your idea.

To upvote:

  • Open the Idea Board (apply filters to see ideas by status, the most views, votes, or just recently active)
  • You can either click on the blue button with the arrow and the number or open the topic to read it through and click Vote
  • You may vote for as many ideas as you want
  • You may cast only one vote per idea.

5. What statuses are there, and what do they mean?

Currently, we have three idea statuses:

💡Idea - the idea has been submitted. Vote and comment to support the idea. 

🛠 Beta - the feature is there for select users, and we are still testing it.

🚀 Delivered - you can enjoy a new feature in Bluesight! 

6. When will the idea be implemented?

Bluesight Community is one of the key data points we use to inform our product roadmap. If we are working on a feature and know the ETA we typically reach out to our community members, offering them to participate in an early access program to give us feedback.

If you're open to sharing your experience using Bluesight, things that work for you, and the gaps in your workflow you're looking to fill, we will share with the product team, and they may circle back with you to set up an in-depth user interview or a user testing session.
